Yogyakarta, May 19, 2025 — IKMASA Mentoring #2 returned to the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, featuring Nur Kumalatus Zahra as the guest speaker. This session invited participants to explore the fundamentals of content writing and the creative process behind producing relevant, educational, and audience-driven content. The event is part of IKMASA’s ongoing soft skill development program for Arabic Study Program students, aligned with the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Nur Kumalatus Zahra, a 2022 Arabic Study Program student and an active content writer at the United Nations Association in Indonesia, shared her experience in crafting impactful digital content. She emphasized how content writing serves as the soul of digital communication, highlighting its importance in today’s fast-paced media landscape.
Her presentation covered the distinctions between content writing and copywriting, the role of content pillars, and the step-by-step workflow of a content writer—from research and interviews to drafting and storytelling. She also introduced the “Double Diamond” method, a creative approach to organizing ideas and executing content effectively. Additionally, participants learned about the importance of proper citations, choosing the right tone, and tailoring writing styles to fit different platforms and target audiences.
The session not only broadened participants’ understanding of the content industry but also instilled values of responsibility in content creation and information sharing. This aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
