With the Theme “A Letter for You, the Owner of My Heart,” Penulis Pustaka Officially Opens the 2026 National Letter Writing Competition

Penulis Pustaka officially announces the opening of the 2026 National Letter Writing Competition under the theme “A Letter for You, the Owner of My Heart.” This competition is designed as a platform to appreciate and promote literary expression, encouraging people across Indonesia to convey ideas, reflections, and personal messages through the art of letter writing.

The competition is open to all Indonesian citizens and can be joined free of charge. Participants are invited to submit one original letter addressed to someone who holds significant meaning in their lives, such as parents, partners, close friends, or other important figures.

Registration & Competition Timeline

  • January 28 – February 8, 2026: Registration and submission of works
  • February 10 – 20, 2026: Announcement of selected writers
  • April 30, 2026: Announcement of winners

Writing Guidelines

Submitted works must comply with the following requirements:

  • Free to participate for all applicants
  • Open to all Indonesian citizens
  • Each participant may submit one best original work
  • The letter must align with the designated theme
  • Length: 500–1,000 words, A4 paper
  • The work must be original, not a translation or adaptation
  • File format: Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing
  • Submissions must be uploaded in Word document format
  • File naming format: LMS_Author’s Name

Awards and Recognition

Outstanding participants will receive the following awards:

  • First Prize: IDR 3,000,000
  • Second Prize: IDR 2,000,000
  • Third Prize: IDR 1,000,000
  • Top 10 selected works will receive cash prizes, trophies, medals, printed certificates, and publication in an anthology book

Through this competition, Penulis Pustaka aims to encourage the creation of communicative and reflective literary works that contribute to the strengthening of national literacy culture.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore is seeking dedicated and highly motivated Arabic language teachers to work at the MOE Language Centre. If you have a degree in Arabic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching, we invite you to join our team as an Arabic language teacher.

Qualification:

  1. A relevant university degree
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language to non-native speakers.
  3. Experience teaching in classroom settings at secondary level (13-16 year olds) preparing students for the GCE O-Level or equivalent will be an advantage.
  4. Familiar with setting assessment papers for essay writing, reading and comprehension, listening comprehension, oral and grammar.
  5. Up-to-date with current best practices, current teaching materials, and current instructional strategies (e.g., effective application of educational technology).
  6. Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and an excellent team player who works well with students, colleagues and parents.
  7. Able to converse well in English

UGM Library and Archives Opens Part-Time Student Recruitment for the 2026 Period!

The UGM Library and Archives is offering opportunities for UGM students who want to gain work experience by becoming part-time students. Students can register by December 10, 2025 at ugm.id/oprecpw2026.

General Requirements

  1. Active students at Gadjah Mada University in at least their fourth semester for D4/S1 students
  2. Minimum GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00
  3. Working at least 4 hours per day for 5 working days
  4. Not participating in Community Service Programs (KKN-PPM) during the work agreement period
  5. Receive a recommendation from an Academic Supervisor (DPA)
  6. Possess the skills, expertise, and abilities required by the work unit, accompanied by certificates of previous courses (Preference will be given to those with skills in public relations, graphic design, video and poster editing, public communication, and archiving)
  7. Health certificate from a doctor
  8. One photocopy of student card
  9. One colored self-portrait (4x6cm)

The Directorate of Student Affairs (Ditmawa) of Gadjah Mada University is opening recruitment for part-time students as:

  1. Student Affairs Manager
  2. Public Relations Manager
  3. Graphic and Multimedia Designer

to be placed in:

  • Sub-Directorate of Student Organizations, Facilities, and Welfare
  • Sub-Directorate of Student Character Development
  • Sub-Directorate of Student Creativity

General Requirements:

  1. Active UGM students, at least in their fifth semester for undergraduate or D4 (Regular) students, and KIP-Kuliah students are preferred.
  2. Actively involved in student organizations on campus.
  3. Committed to working at least four hours per day for five working days, Monday through Friday.
  4. Not participating in Community Service Programs (KKN-PPM) during the work agreement period.
  5. Willing to work on a one-year contract basis.

Special Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in office applications (for Student Affairs Managers),
  2. Preference is given to those with work experience or experience in publications (especially for Public Relations Managers), and
  3. Experience in IT, photography, and design. Proficiency in applications such as CorelDraw, Photoshop, and others is a plus (especially for Graphic and Multimedia Designers, and is a plus in all fields).
