The Nobel Prize Teacher Summit in Stockholm, Sweden

Are you an educator passionate about fostering democracy, scientific understanding, and human rights? The Nobel Prize Teacher Summit brings together educators globally with Nobel laureates, leading scientists, and peace advocates to explore critical educational themes. Apply to join the 2025 Nobel Prize Teacher Summit in Stockholm, Sweden.

This year’s theme is “The Future of Democracy.” The summit will delve into crucial questions:

  • How can we effectively teach about democracy, cultivate trust, and foster critical thinking skills in our students?
  • What skills are essential for young people to become active and informed participants in shaping and preserving a democratic society?

This summit offers 20 teachers financial support to attend a four-day programme that centres around the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit and will held on Friday, 28 March (the international participants are invited to an extended programme from Wednesday, 26 March to Saturday, 29 March).

The scholarship consist of:

  1. Support for the costs of visa, travel, transfers and meals
  2. Hotel in Stockholm, 4 nights (booked by the Nobel Prize Museum)
  3. Introduction at the Nobel Prize Museum on Wednesday, 26 March
  4. Study visits and workshop on Thursday, 27 March, including lunch
  5. Conference fee for Friday 28 March, including lunch
  6. Programme on Saturday, 29 March at the Nobel Prize Museum
  7. Insurance during the period 25-30 March
  8. A personal letter of invitation, for use when applying for a visa and the like

Applications for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) for 2025/26 are Opened

The Government of Ireland offers scholarships to exceptional international students pursuing master’s, postgraduate diplomas, or PhDs. This program, funded by the Irish government and managed by the Higher Education Authority, provides scholarships to 60 students annually for one year of full-time study in Ireland. The aim is to support high-achieving international students in their academic pursuits within the Irish higher education system. 

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship consist of:

  • Full fee waiver
  • €10,000

These are following general requirements that students must be completed:

  1. Origin outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
  2. Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to that higher education institution at the time of applying for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship and will be required to submit a copy of same.
  3. Prospective candidates who have previously held a GOI-IES scholarship are not eligible to apply. 
  4. In the following for 2025-26:
    • 1 year taught Masters programme (full time)
    • 1 year of a PhD programme (full-time)

Applicants are expected to demonstrate:

  • A record of outstanding academic achievement;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Participation in extracurricular activities, for example humanitarian work, politics, arts or sport;
  • A strong rationale for pursuing their study in Ireland that indicates how a Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship would align with their longer-term goals

The deadline for applications will be on March 5, 2025 (5pm Irish time).

The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship for the 2025/2026 is Open

Foreign students are encouraged to apply for the Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. This scholarship offers the chance to study at the diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate master’s level in higher education institutions within Brunei Darussalam. These are following universities that applicant can be place to pursue their studies:

Ineligible applications will be rejected.  Check the following eligibility criteria before you apply:

  1. Not exceed  the age of 35, for Postgraduate Master’s Degree programmes, on the first day of July on the year when the course/programme starts.
  2. Be proficient in English with a Credit 6 at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or a Grade ‘C” in IGCSE English (as a second language) or an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum score of 550.

The 2025 Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP) Scholarship is Now Open

The Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP) scholarship has opened for phase 1 in 2025. The registration period for the LPDP scholarship was from January 17 to February 17, 2025. The LPDP scholarship is divided into four main programs:

  • Targeted Scholarship
  • Affirmative Scholarship
  • General Scholarship
  • Collaborative Scholarship

Each program has different general requirements. For more information, you can access the LPDP website: https://lpdp.kemenkeu.go.id/en/. In addition, there are three steps to becoming an LPDP Scholarship awardee:

  1. Administrative Selection
  2. Scholastic Talent Selection
  3. Substance Selection

The applicant will proceed to the next step only if they pass each selection.
